    Become a Crisis Text Line Volunteer

    Youth need to know that there is someone out there who cares about them and who would be devastated if they didn’t keep pushing through. You can be the one! You can volunteer to support youth who are struggling or just need someone to listen. You can become a Crisis Text Line Volunteer!

    As a Crisis Text Line volunteer, you will get the opportunity to respond to youth experiencing a crisis via text, offering support through conversation and directing youth to resources as appropriate. No need to leave the safety and comfort of your home! The Oasis Line texts will get directed to your cell phone (while keeping your number private).

    Time commitment: 3 shifts per a month (each shift is 3 hours) between the hours of 8am -11pm (operates 7 days a week).

    Volunteer Requirements:

    • Be at least 21 years old (or receive approval from the manager)
    • Not a current client of Kitsap Mental Health, Jefferson Mental Health, or Peninsula Behavioral Health
    • Completion of Crisis Response Training
