We never really intend for Christmas to become about “things.”

When we give a gift we hope to communicate something very simple: “I love you.”

Every year, the Coffee Oasis hosts a Christmas Party for homeless and street youth to attend. Carols are sung, dinner is shared, and gifts are given. For many of the kids who attend, this IS their Christmas celebration. It’s all they’ve got. And when they receive a gift they asked for, it’s powerfully tangible proof that they are seen and cared for!

This is why we celebrate with gifts and food and singing together at Christmas with “our kids.” We celebrate because we are family and this place is home.

This year, 184 kids have signed up to receive gifts through the Family Christmas Project. We have funds donated so far to purchase gifts for 84. Give and help provide gifts for ALL the kids!
