A Night of Restoration & Hope
On September 12, 2025, sponsors, donors, staff, community members, and volunteers celebrated The Coffee Oasis 12th Annual Hope Gala. Thanks to the generous support of our community, $202,505 was raised for Kitsap County Youth Programs—enough to provide 3,375 bed nights for youth at the Bremerton Youth Shelter!
Music from the Poulsbo Community Orchestra welcomed guests as they grabbed a glass of wine, mingled with friends, purchased raffle tickets, and perused silent auction items. Some new games of Coffee Pong and Golden ticket were added as additional chances for guests to win big with a trip to Mexico and a Torani and Coffee Oasis Basket.
To kick off the program, emcee and Kitsap Housing Manager, Esther welcomed board member Michael Gordon to open the night in prayer. Executive Director, Bryce Clark, encouraged guests to think through what it might be like for youth who come to The Coffee Oasis and Jake Wischoff, Kitsap County Director of Youth Programs, shared about the impact of programs for youth. Guests enjoyed bidding wars over all-inclusive trips, custom jewelry by Robin Callahan, weekend getaways, a coffee experience with the Executive Director, and Nate Bargatze tickets. Elizabeth Garton, Board President, was awarded the Dave O. Frederick Award for her commitment to youth in the community. The assortment of beautifully crafted desserts were a hit–with items such as a cake shaped like a Coffee Oasis mug, a beautifully garnished Passion Fruit Goat Cheese Cheesecake, and elegant cupcakes, raising over $12,000 to provide shelter for youth in Kitsap County.
Amara, the youth speaker and guest of honor, shared how The Coffee Oasis has been a refuge and support for her and her daughter. Reflecting on her time staying at The Coffee Oasis shelter, she shared, “It was the first place I stayed that felt calm. I wasn’t in fight or flight mode all the time. It was a really calm environment for me to come here, versus what I was used to. I just felt like I could chill here and I didn’t have to worry about anything.”
“My life has changed for the better since coming here. I was able to get housing, get job experience. I’ve received hygiene products, clothes, and food. I have a bunch of friends, so it’s been really positive for me coming here.
The night was a celebration of restoration and hope. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of generosity from the greater community. On behalf of our entire Kitsap County team, we extend our deepest thanks to our volunteers, donors, sponsors, community, and friends. Thank you for caring for youth at The Coffee Oasis.
