Jacob experienced homelessness for around 4 years. While experiencing homelessness, he stayed at The Coffee Oasis Bremerton shelter for 60 days. While staying at our shelter, Jacob was able to achieve some major goals through case management. Meeting weekly with his case manager, he was able to get the resources and information he needed to......obtain a copy of his birth certificate, ID card, and Social Security card....sign up for health insurance....complete an application for the Housing Solutions Center....complete registration for a community college....gain employment. Each goal he was able to achieve with the help of his case manager took him one step away from danger and one step towards safety—one step further from experiencing homelessness and one step closer to home.
