Together we can make this experience possible for hundreds of youth. We call it: Family Christmas Project. \nFor many of our youth\, this is their only Christmas celebration. In 2025\, 273 youth found hope at these Christmas events. \nThis Christmas\, would you consider sponsoring youth to receive gifts through the Family Christmas Project? \nBy sponsoring a youth for gifts\, you are showing them they are loved\, wanted\, and have a place to call home for the holidays. \nHow Does it Work?\nYouth participating in The Coffee Oasis youth programs fill out gift request forms. DESCRIPTION:During the 2024-2025 school year\, 913 public school students in Kitsap County experienced homelessness. These numbers represent only those we can count. Many more youth struggle daily with depression\, anxiety\, isolation\, addiction\, and trauma—often fighting to survive the day. \nOne Hope Gala sponsor\, Matt Lewis from Pacific Lifestyle Homes shared: \n“Housing is something that’s obviously near and dear to our hearts\, and there’s such a huge need. When you talk about children\, there are even fewer choices.” \nThe Coffee Oasis is the only youth shelter in Kitsap County. And last year\, you provided 2\,897 bed nights of shelter and essential resources such as showers\, laundry\, food\, and more for 1\,588 youth. And last year\, you provided 2\,897 bed nights of shelter and essential resources such as showers\, laundry\, food\, and more for 1\,588 youth. \n“I come to The Coffee Oasis continuously\, even after leaving (the shelter)\, because it’s become a place where I can just get support\, get help\, be around people who want to see me succeed.
