2016 Family Christmas Project: Photos and Stories For You!

Christmas has come and gone already! “Our” kids were given a joy-filled home for the holidays, thanks to your support. Many of them asked us to pass on thanks to those who helped purchase their gifts. So THANK YOU! Here are some small stories and pictures of how your gift made an impact:

One of the boys in Poulsbo had a bad Christmas weekend and was downcast. But when asked about the Coffee Oasis Christmas Party, he lit up. “I had a ton of fun and loved it. Good food, good time together.” He was delighted with his gift too!

At Bremerton’s party, a young woman’s name was called and she came to get her gift. With bright beaming eyes and a wide open mouth she cried, “Really, all this is for me? WOW!!!” Needless to say her holiday was made. She thanked us profusely for remembering her during Christmas.

Four of our young men asked for longboards for Christmas, so they could all ride together. After receiving their gifts they were so excited and thankful that they could now ride and enjoy each other’s company more conveniently. It might seem like such a small request, but these small things mean the world to our kids!

BY THE NUMBERS:

• 3 Christmas Parties:Poulsbo, Bremerton, Port Orchard
• 184 youth received gifts through the Family Christmas Project
• 161 youth, along with their family members, attended the Christmas parties
• 54 volunteers played games, sang carols, and shared Christmas dinner with our kids
